Institutions are here because their registrar publishes a scale a student can check, not because any of them asked to be. Nobody can buy a position in this table.
Institution pages
- University of South Carolina Prints a 4.0 scale with no minus grades at all: the plus grades step in halves.
- Indiana University Records an A+ and pays it exactly what an A pays, on an otherwise standard plus/minus scale.
- University of Toronto Prints letter, percentage band and grade point in one table, which almost no American registrar does.
- Arizona State University Records an A+ at 4.33, above the top of its own nominal scale.
- University of Missouri Prints A+ and A both at 4.00 and mixes two and one decimal places in the same list.
- University of Nebraska-Lincoln Prints A+ and A both at 4.00 with the rest of the scale to two decimal places.
- Fairleigh Dickinson University Prints a plus/minus scale with no A+ and no D- at all.
- Oregon State University States its scale as grade points per credit, which is the arithmetic rather than a lookup.
- University of Cincinnati Publishes quality points to four decimal places, where almost everyone else rounds to two.
- University of Memphis Prints an A- at 3.84, a figure no other institution in this index uses.
- Xavier University Prints a conventional two-decimal plus/minus scale with no A+.
- UMBC Prints a fixed GPA band for each Latin honour, which most institutions do not.
- UMass Amherst Publishes both a three-decimal scale and the realised honours cut-offs per school.
- UConn Requires a GPA floor and a class rank together, and publishes the realised cut-offs.
